This is a very important question for an interview, especially if you are applying for a position related to wireless controllers or network data. This question is typically asked by interviewers.
We have defined the following reasons for this issue:
Check if the number of clients registered on the AP does not exceed 20, as recommended by Cisco.
Check gain, power, signal, and channel settings on the AP.
Verify if the AP is running in good health:The CPU utilization, temperature, and memory utilization should be below the specified threshold levels.
Check the switch configuration and verify that the switch is running in good health:The CPU utilization, temperature, and memory utilization should be below the specified threshold levels.
Check for crashes on devices, if any.
Check the power supply to both devices.
If a client associates with the AP but cannot obtain an IP address (or falls back to an automatic private IP address, APIPA), it is likely having trouble reaching the DHCP server.
