DIFFERENT BETWEEN POP AND IMAP PROTOCOL

When user configure imap  then access any where and system mail

· In Imap all mail direct  save in server

· In imap case when data delete in system then data is not delete on server

· Imap port no: normal port-143, Encrypted port-993



Pop3

· Pop3 all mail download in local system

· In pop3 case send time is not save on server

· Pop3 is use only one system  normal port-110



Encrypted port-995

Smtp(simple mail transfer protocol)

This protocol using for sending mail

Normat port- 25

Encrypted port- 465(SSL)

Encrypted port- 587(TSL)



DIFFERNCE BETWEEN .OST AND .PST

OST(OFFLINE STORAGE TABLE)

· WHEN YOU ARE USING EXCHAGE SERVER THEN CREATE MAIL IN .OST FORMAT

·.OST FORMAT IS ALLWAYS DUBLICATE COPY OF MAIL

·Outlook Data Files (.ost) are used when you have an Exchange account and want to work offline

.OST DID’T BACKUP MAIL



PST(PERSONAL STROGE TABLE)

· PST FILE IS BACKUP OF OUTLOOK

· WHEN DATA IS ACHRIVE THEN DATA SAVE IN PST FORMAT

·Outlook Data Files (.pst) are used for POP3, IMAP
