Procedure
1. Access Prisma Access App
Go to the Palo Alto Networks Hub.
Click on the Prisma Access App.
2. Navigate to Custom URL Categories
Go to Manage > Configuration > Security Services > URL Access Management > Custom URL Categories.
Click Add Category.
3. Define the Custom URL Category
Provide the following details:
Name: Enter a descriptive name for the category.
Description: Add a meaningful description.
Type: Choose the type of URL category.
Items: Add URLs manually or import them.
Save the configuration.
4. Create a URL Access Management Profile
Navigate to Manage > Configuration > Security Services > URL Access Management > URL Access Management Profiles.
Create a new profile.
5. Configure Access Control
Determine the appropriate actions for the custom URL category:
Site Access: Set actions (e.g., Alert, Allow, Block, Continue, None).
User Credential Submission: Define actions for credential protection.
6. Add the Profile to a Profile Group
Apply the new URL Access Management profile to an existing profile group or create a new one:
Go to Manage > Configuration > Security Services > Profile Groups.
7. Assign the Profile Group to a Security Policy
Navigate to Manage > Configuration > Security Services > Security Policy.
Assign the profile group to the desired security policy.
8. Push the Configuration
Push the configuration changes to the devices.
Wait for the Config Status to show "In Sync":
Go to Manage > Service Setup > Overview > Config Status.
9. Test the Policy
Verify that the newly created custom URL category is applied and functioning as expected by testing the security policy.
By following these steps, you can successfully create and implement a custom URL category in your Prisma Access environment. Ensure to test your configuration to confirm proper functionality.
