Forescout Deployment Types :
Many Deployment methods are available in Forescout, and we can discuss them.
CounterACT can be deployed in a number of different ways depending on your
environment and specific business needs.
1- Distributed Deployment :
In a distributed deployment, all sites have CounterACT Appliances deployed locally.
All CounterACT Appliances report to the Enterprise Manager in the Data Center.
2- Centralized Deployment :
In a centralized deployment, CounterACT Appliances are deployed in the Data Center
and managed by an Enterprise Manager. These Appliances provide visibility and
control over devices and users across all your sites
3- Hybrid Deployment :
In a hybrid deployment, larger sites have CounterACT Appliances deployed locally,
while some of the smaller sites are managed directly from the Data Center. All
CounterACT Appliances report to the Enterprise Manager in the Data Center
Failover Clustering:
CounterACT deployments (e.g. centralized or hybrid) require resiliency within and
across sites and geographic locations. Each site (e.g. data center) can contain many
Appliances. Failover Clustering provides a resiliency solution in the event that an
Appliance, a number of Appliances or an entire site fails
